This is a five-months-long project funded by UNDP with Y-PEER embarked in January 2016. This project targets Alula and Bargal districts of Gardafu region. By the end of the project, 140 unemployed youth living in Alula and Bargal towns will get increased income and employment opportunities and therefore will become productive members of their societies through increased access to job opportunities resulting from the acquired training, incentives, start-up capital and from the Kick start materials and tools.
80 youth living in Alula and Bargal will acquire 5 different locally marketable skills such us: Electric, Mobile Repairing, Tailoring, Beauty Salon, And 60 unemployed skilled men and women will acquire business training.
Each of the 140 unemployed and skilled youngsters (55% female, 45 male) graduating from the vocational and business trainings will be given tools equivalent to USD 500.00
